How To Change DSTV, TSTV, GOTV, KWESE TV AND STARTIME decoders Ownership's Account Details.
All Decoder vendors legalise changing of decoders ownership's details but the procedures varies from one provider to the other.
For DSTV, TSTV, KWÈSÈ TV, and STARTIME Users.
• Let the previous owner accompany you to the decoder vendor company with both your ID and the previous owner's ID and purchased receipt.
• Get and fill change of ownership form from the vendor's office.
• After that you are good to go.
But incase the previous owner is not around.
• You need to get a letter of consent from the previous owner. (Sale agreement made in writing form).
• Make sure you've a copy of the previous owner's ID and your personal ID.
• Get and fill change of ownership form from the vendor's office.
• After that you are good to go.
But incase the previous owner is not around.
• You need to get a letter of consent from the previous owner. (Sale agreement made in writing form).
• Make sure you've a copy of the previous owner's ID and your personal ID.
For GOTV Users.
Changing of GOTV Ownership's Account Details happens to be the easiest of all.
•All you need is to visit GOTV easy care self service and click sign In.
•Supply the IUC Number located under the secondhand GOTV Decoder, the previous owner Phone number and First Name and then, sign in.
• After that, click Activate and supply your new details and remember to save it.
To save time, just dial *288*1# from the previous owner's phone to update new users details.
Try to check this out: Airtel 3gb for #1000.
In case you don't have the previous owner's name and phone number just take IUC Number to nearest GOTV Vendor and you'll be provided with the previous owner's phone number and name. You can then change the details.
The last method I mentioned above is not advisable because it is illegal and this is done at most time without previous owner's consent. It is prosecutable.
